i dont really like ambient music so when it comes to fumio miyashita i definitely prefer the 4 albums he did in the far east family band. 1970s prog rock is my fav genre.

Fun Lovin Criminals.....now there's a blast from the past! They were quite big in the UK and Ireland in the mid to late 90s. Scooby Snacks was a huge hit for them.

Absolutely love Fun Loving Criminals! Scooby Snacks is a tune but 100% Colombian is my favourite album, was gutted their tour got cancelled a couple of years back.

So good to see your musical taste widening, Matt. La Planete Sauvage by Alain Goraguer is a fantastic album! Never saw the film, though. It's like Air heard it and said: "ok, we are doing THAT!". He has an album called Musique Classée X whose cover art is an actual gangbang photographed from above. You probably would not show that one in a youtube video 😝 David Axelrod is killer, too. Now Again Records reissued Song of Innocence, Songs of Experience and Earth Rot a few years ago, so I don't think those are very hard to find or expensive. Seriously Deep is also great and chock full of future hiphop samples. As for Fumio Miyashita, try Wave (Sounds of The Universe) next. That's my favourite of his.

Teenage Fanclub are an all time great band and have been one of my favorites for decades now. People were stunned when Spin Magazine gave Bandwagonesque album of the year over Nevermind. It makes sense to me though. All of their albums are great with Songs From Northern Britain being my favorite. Saw them open for Radiohead at the Wiltern during the OK Computer tour from the third row. Top 5 concert ever for me. Have seen them a couple of other times as well - so good.

I started buying records in 1976 and I had never seen a sealed record until I bought one four years ago, record shops used to stock the cover in a box for us to browse through and if we wanted it we took the cover to the counter and the staff would take the record in an inner sleeve off the shelf behind them and insert it into the cover on the counter in front of us, and these were brand new unplayed records, I loathe shrink wrap on records, especially with gatefold covers as the edges are compressed together and remain out of shape once the wrap is off.

I agree with on your choices. I tried a brand of crystal clear sleeves but wasn’t satisfied because the seams almost always split. I didn’t really look for the millimeter but I’m thinking it was a 2mil. I switched to Vinyl Styl and I’m pleased no more tearing. I’ve been using Mobile Fidelity for quite some time and I really like them. The records slip in and out easy ,good quality sleeves.

Great advice. In the 1970's they cut the thickness of vinyl but the sound quality on most albums was still excellent and in some cases better. Keep up the good work.

Might be just me but my macbook is at full volume and your audio is a bit low but very clear.

Putting seals on records hurts no one but resellers. And those are the people it should hurt.

I was out so I had to watch it later. I'm gonna have to check out that Stina Nordenstam album. I listened to the other one you were talking about after I heard the song Little Star from the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack and that made it on my wishlist but a repress of that would be awesome.

Since Ebay stopped using PayPal, and doing direct pay to bank, buyers that lie about not getting record, and file false claim, so much easier to deal with. Only thing that sucks about eBay is the wait on getting payment. But it's not like Discogs, using PayPal, that basically automatically sides with buyer on a dispute.
